Nicole Sprenger
Chief Executive Officer
Nicole is a third generation owner of Sprenger Healthcare. She grew up visiting and volunteering in the nursing homes with her father and grandmother. From an early age, she learned that carrying on her grandmother’s passion of helping and caring for people was her life goal.
After high school, Nicole attended the University of Akron and obtained a degree in Gerontology. After obtaining her degree and Nursing Home Administrator License, family members were required to work outside of the family business to gain experience and knowledge from other facilities. Nicole worked for a facility in Akron, and then relocated to Florida working as a business office manager.
In May 2002, Nicole moved back to Ohio and joined Sprenger as the Administrator for Lorain Manor. She also served as the Administrator for Elms Retirement Village and Autumn Aegis. In 2006, she decided she wanted to go back to school to obtain her MBA in Human Resources. This decision was made because she wanted to carry on her grandmother’s legacy of staff appreciation for the commitment they make every day to care for our residents. Nicole joined the human resources department and was quickly promoted to Vice President of Human Resources. In 2012, she was named CEO of Sprenger Healthcare. Today, her responsibilities include overseeing the corporate office, quality assurance, information technology, and human resources.
Nicole currently serves as a board member for The Ohio Health Care Association. She has previously served as a board member for the American Red Cross, Wayne County Humane Society, and Northeast Ohio Nursing Initiative. She also is a graduate of Leadership Lorain County.
